Russell Cohen is the President of South Florida M&A Advisors, Inc. with more than 25 years of deal-making experience focused in Florida. Throughout his tenure, Russell has sold more than seven hundred businesses: an achievement higher than any other advisor in the state of Florida. Russell has a deep understanding of the intricacies of the business sales process and has a proven track record of successfully navigating transactions of all sizes in all industries. Russell prides himself on personally supporting sellers from engagement to closing through all facets of the transaction with experience, dedication, and integrity.

In 2024 Russell earned the distinguished recognition of CBI of the Year for the International Business Broker association out of 1500 business brokers.

In 2023 Russell was elected to the Board of Governors for the M&A Source, a National Organization of M&A Advisors and has earned his M&AMI certification.

Russell was the TOP DEAL MAKER for the State of Florida in 2019, 2016, 2015, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, and 2005. He was the TOP DEAL MAKER in South Florida in 2021, 2018, 2017, 2014, 2011, and 2008.

In November 2023 Russell and his team at South Florida M&A Advisors, Inc. facilitated one of the largest platform deals in Florida of $100,000,000 between a private equity group and Florida roofing contractor.
